On this summer vacation, I had a 3 days Travel to Shanghai. As my friend who majored in Tourism Management guided for me, I had a well-planned and wonderful experience there. Now, let me introduce my travel route for you.
Day 1
As I arrived in the afternoon, my friend took me to the reserved Bingjia International Youth Hostel to put down my package. By the way, this hotel is strongly recommended for our young people when choosing China Hotels. Then we had a delicious dinner in Typhoon Shelter Restaurant. I tasted the crab flour small steamed bun, one of the most famous Shanghai Food. It had faint scent and is non-greasy. I like it very much.
After satisfied my stomach, I went to the Bund, accompanied with my friend. It was the very time to enjoy the amazing night scenery there at 7o’clock pm. Besides, the weather at that time was suitable with beautiful setting sun and faint sea wind. These were all suggested by my smart friend. Being the most imposing spectacle in Shanghai, the Bund has been seen as the embodiment of Shanghai for a long time. This spot in the city is home to a myriad of European-styled buildings that face the Huangpu River. Architectural styles include gothic, baroque, Romanesque, and renaissance. After enjoyed its around buildings, the evening lights lit on both of the river sides. There came another dreamlike sight. Under the soft lights and with the gentle wind, I felt peaceful. Even time stopped at that moment at the mercy of us free and leisure people. Though there came the thunder and lightning, people took the thunder photos straightly. Because it had a wide sightseeing on the river bank. The lightning was so clear and close that the nature force amazed me a lot.
Though being reluctant to part with, I left with my friend urgency. We went to the Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping street. This road is known as “the No.1 commercial street of China”, stretching from the Bund east towards Hongqiao, with People’s Square in the middle. The weather calmed down on my way to the Nanjing Road. We bought on two cups of milk tea and started to wander. Besides its brightly-lit shopping malls, it also has European-styled buildings. The most wonderful thing I met there was a foreigner played the saxophone on the balcony of a European-styled building. The splendid music flied on the street, calming down most of the people who were anxious with shopping. A lot of people sat down on the chairs in front of the building just enjoy the sweet music. So did my friend and I. Time limited, we went on after a song done. Not for shopping, we just appreciated the nice atmosphere, cozy and slow.
I went back to the exotic hostel at 10o’clock pm. That was my first day on Shanghai.
Day 2
Last night, I chatted with some kind tourists on the small open-air garden of the Youth Hostel. We shared our travel experience with each other and I learned a lot from some rich experienced travelers. That was extra gains for me. Getting up a little late in the morning, my friend changed our plan of meeting in his place. He picked me up at the hostel. And we firstly visited Shanghai Museum in the morning, which is the biggest museum in China. It has a collection of over 120,000 pieces of Chinese art & cultural relics. And it is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes, ceramics, paintings, and calligraphy. After that, we went to the most beautiful private garden in China, Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese park decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations. Surely it is very different from parks in Beijing. It feels more delicate, elegant and mellower. It is easy for people to get relax and quiet down. We had lunch in the special snacks there. Again I was attracted by this lite and nutrient food. After sitting for a while outside the garden, we continued to climb up the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, standing by the Huangpu River with 468 meters high, as last night we just see it on the other side of the river. Oriental Pearl TV Tower is the highest TV Tower in Asia (up to the last floor to see Shanghai scenery). It is a new landmark of Shanghai in 21st century. The weather was nice again. So I saw a clear and whole sight of Shanghai. Unlike Beijing flat but surrounded by mountains, Shanghai has a more wide vision located in the mouth of the Yangtze River.
Day 3
I went back in the early morning with some Shanghai local flavors. Maybe my 3 days trip came to 2 days except for the roundtrip time. Undoubtedly, I fell in love with Shanghai. And I dream that one day I can live in there without great financial burden.
Attracted by my trip there? I strongly recommend you to take Shanghai Flights now
