The tour packages of china travel are various; you can either travel to Beijing or Shanghai for a week, or you can choose the Chengdu Flights to stay 7 days to enjoy a rather relaxing vacation. Where is Chengdu? You may be quite familiar with Sichuan food in your country’s Chinese restaurants. Well, Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province which is famous for tasted food and remarkable natural and historical scenes. Moreover, Mount Emei locates in Chengdu and this mountain is the highest one among Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. Please follow me to have a glance of this 3-day vacation from Beijing to Chengdu.

First Day (August 6th, 2009): We booked the early flight tickets for 40% off. So we got up at 5 am and took the express subway to airport in Dong Zhi Men. Thanks to this 20-minute express subway, we successfully caught the 8am flight to Chengdu. We arrived in Chengdu at 10:45am and went to the Xin Nan Men Bus Station by shuttle bus for RMB 10 yuan. Then we were heading to Mountain Emei by transferring to the Mountain Emei Bus station by RMB 33 yuan. When we arrived at the base of Mountain Emei, it was 2pm already. Our journey of climbing Mount Emei set off. It is very useful to buy a crutch before climbing and it is as cheap as RMB 4 yuan (remember to bargain!). At around 6 pm, we lodged in the Hong Chung Ping Temple overnight. The price is RMB 40 yuan for each person per night.

Second Day (August 7th): Companied by the morning bell from the temple, we woke up at 5 am and had special vegetarian breakfast provided by the temple. When came out of the temple, there were several large monkeys lying on the floor. We, two girls, were scared by them because they would suddenly jump up to you. Then we had to choose another path to avoid them. However, there were still some smaller monkeys trying to scare us and jumped onto our shoulders. Whatever method we used, they still refused to move. Fortunately, there came several other people who caught these monkeys’ attentions. Therefore, we were “let” go by them. There are several points I wanna make: 1. If you want to give monkeys foods, you would better give all you have out and never remain some on yourself. Otherwise, you will be in trouble. 2. Do not wear or have something in red, because monkeys love this color and they will chase after you along. Finally, we arrived at Xian Feng Temple which is larger and more splendid than Hong Chun Ping Temple. We refilled our water bottle with spring water in this temple. There is no need to carry a lot of water for climbing, as many temples on Mount Emei will provide fresh spring water for free. At 5:30pm, we arrived at Jie Ying Palace (another famous temple) and had vegetarian dinner there. Here we received nice help and service and I really recommended the vegetarian dinner there. We stayed in this temple for RMB 40 yuan per night.

Third Day, August 8t: Accompanied by chanting scriptures from Monks, we woke up at 5am as well. And the breakfast is the buffet for RMB 6 yuan each person. We had stuffed buns, prridge, peanuts and other salad. We planned to climb to the summit, however, it was raining heavily and so cold. We rented a coat till knees in this summer time!!! We decided to take Cable Cars to the summit. The price was RMB 30 yuan for each person. There is another temple at the summit and many people came here to seek luck. After this, we climbed down to the base of Mountain Emei at 12pm, and took the return bus to Chengdu downtown.
