 1.        The City Wall of Pingyao

The City Wall is one of the three treasures of Pingyao. Established in Ming Dynasty (1370), the City Wall is the earliest and largest wall in Shanxi with a length of 6.4 kilometers. It maintains its structure of Ming Dynasty after being renovated many times. The wall is rectangular with a height of 12 meters. There are altogether 6 city gates, two on west and east walls respectively and one on north and south walls respectively. On west and east sides stand some bulwarks. The whole wall has 3000 battlements and 72 watchtowers, the former is said to represent 3000 disciples of Confucius and the later 72 people of great wisdom. It is said that the street, shops and residences inside the wall still bear the traditional layout and style, while scenes outside the wall are more modern.

 2.      Zhengguo Temple

Zhengguo Temple is another treasure of Pingyao. Built in 963 in the Northern Han Dynasty (951-979), it covers an area of 10892 square meters. It is significant not only for its religious contribution but also for its unique architecture. The temple is divided into two parts. The front part contains Tianwang Hall and Bell Tower and Drum Tower on its two sides, followed by Ten-thousand Buddha Hall. In the back part stand Guanyin Hall, Dizang Hall. The whole temple was built with wood. In fact, it belongs to the most ancient wood architecture of China. It differs from other architectures in that it was built by putting wooden blocks together without using any nail.

 3.      Shuanglin Temple

Shuanglin Temple is also a treasure of Pingyao. It is honored as the “Ancient Painted Sculptures Museum” as the temple has more than 2000 colorful sculptures from the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is also a Buddhism temple which includes various halls and gods. You can find gods with distinctive expressions and postures which can not be found in other temples.

 4.       Rishengchang

Rishengchang is the first bank of China. Covering an area of 1300 square meters, it had been the central bank of China in its one hundred years’ operation. The shop has been reserved very well. So if you have a chance to visit it, you can have a glimpse of the operating mechanism of the first financial center. Because of its great contribution to Chinese trade, it has been honored as “Chinese Exchange Shop Museum”.

Pingyao’s attractions are more than the above mentioned ones. Other attractions such as the Ancient Ming-Qing Street, Qiao’s Compound and Temple of the City God are also very famous. If you want to learn more about Chinese ancient culture, you need to include Pingyao in your china travel schedule.

Today, I will recommend something about what to prepare to Shanghai expo. Firstly, you have to book some Shanghai Flights and Shanghai Hotels. A lot of friends have great interests on the Shanghai expo. But before you go there, you should take a lot of things in consideration. I have list the following suggestions.

Firstly, you have to make complete plans to Shanghai. Before you make you plans, you have to make the near spots been seen together. For example, the Lujiazui, the Bund, Chenghuamiao, the People Square, Beijing Road and Xujiahui, etc. you have to know about the traffic conditions and leave some space for that. Do not make your travel so tense.

Secondly, you have to find a comfortable hotel. During Shanghai Expo, the prices of hotels vary heavily. The hotels near the expos charges higher. Some four to five star hotels may charge as 40 percent as before. So you can choose those far away from expos but near convenient traffic. The best choices are the train stations, People Square, Xujiahui District. They are on the crossings of two subways. Luxun Park, Dabaishu, Caoyang, Caohejing and Hailong districts are including cheap hotels. You can get to the city centre by way of those convenient traffics.

Thirdly, take advantage of the special travel lines. The expo stadiums hold more than 10000 park lots. More than 100 traffic lines near expo stadiums. In addition, there are 16 nonstop special lines to expo stadiums. After 21:00 p.m., there are lots of taxis. Some one day trip buses have the limited timetable, you can take them depend on your interests and time.

Fourthly, there are some ways to get cheap entry tickets. If you have the student cards, soldier cards and you are the elder more than 70, you can get the discounted tickets. Besides, you can purchase the coupon tickets. For example, the coupon ticket of the grand theater, museum and gallery in People Square only costs 50 RMB. You can save 30 RMB. There are many other choices like this.

Then, you should know about the stadiums settings. The open time of stadiums includes the weekdays and weekends. The park opens from 9:00 am. The stadium opens in 9:30 am. According to the stadiums data, the average time of visiting is about 7-8 hours. So you have to make sure your favored stadiums’ locations before setting out.

Lastly, you are not permitted to take beverage and water. The security of Shanghai expo is very strict. Even some daily goods cannot be taken into the park if they are not ensured 100 percent safe to other people.

There are also some other tips.

No matter what traffic you are taking, there are volunteers providing services for you in the airport and train stations.

You had better the visiting bloom season.

You have to make reservation to some hot stadiums. That means as soon as you get into the park you have to make it. They will inform you the entry time and you can arrange some other stadiums visiting according to it.

The evening scenery of the park is beautiful. It is from 9:30 am to 22:30 everyday.

Before you going inside, you had better take the visiting map.

In the park, there are all kinds of flavors at home and abroad. So every 5 minutes walk you can get to a food position.

Not everywhere can you smoke. You have to go to the smoking area.

Some important stadiums need the security.

I respected her bilingual ability. No matter in the job or the everyday life, she could chat with foreigners freely.

The working attitude of Meng is responsible and careful. In the daytime, she was leading the team to visit all scenic spots. As soon as we got together in a location, she would firstly arrange all of us and paid visit to our rooms. She helped us with some daily works. Everyday she got back home late.

Meng was also a person who had strong passion in her job and strong leadership and cooperation. She expressed to us the CYTS company image. From the leaders’ carefulness and consideration and the diligence of the office staffs, she gave full explanation to us. She felt happy and honored to own such a good job. In fact, Meng had faced lots of difficulties, for she had a little child in lactation period. Not did she miss her little daughter, but also had some discomfort. However, she insisted to lead the team and left a optimistic and positive image to us.

In addition, I had to express my own situation, I was the solo travel. Without the considerate help, maybe I could not get the comfortable trip abroad. On the first day, one agent had lost his passport when all people passed customs. Meng comforted the agent and help him look for it. The weather was hot, Meng told us to wait for her and she found everywhere possible in the sun. Unfortunately, we could not find the passport at last. We have to go forward. On the way Meng received the call from customs, they had found the passport. We all applauded for the good news also for Meng. We felt moved by her working responsibility.

On the second day, it was raining. We had to visit in the rain. When we got down the bus, Meng shoved the umbrellas for us in case we got caught in the rain. But I found Meng wiped her head with tissues, I found she was wringed. But she told us not to worry her and went on to visit the beautiful sceneries. When we were taking photos, Meng was still waiting for everyone in case we got lost when leaving. When Meng was with us, we could set our minds at rest.

Nowadays, China Tours are more and more popular among tourists all over the world. Travel to Beijing, travel to Shanghai, or other hot sots in China, all these sound wonderful! However, do you know how to plan your trips? How could you find the most attractive ones? Now, I will share something about the current Chinese tourism situation, in detail, it is about the popular spots, how to plan your travel routes, and how to book hotels and air tickets.

China, with the vast territory and abundant resources, has many beautiful scenes beyond your imagination. And I will show you them according to different types.

Ancient culture and buildings

Given that China has thousands of year’s history, there are many ancient cities in China, such as Beijing, Xi’an, Nanjing, and so on. Beijing, as the cultural and political center of People’s Republic of China, has attracted millions of visitors both domestic and abroad. And when the subject comes to Beijing, the first attraction bounds to our minds is the Tian’anmen Square. It is the largest square which is located in the center of a city in the world. On each China National Day, many Chinese people come to Beijing to witness this great ceremony. Other fantastic spots are the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven; all these spots were built in ancient Dynasty and were used to serve the great Emperor. However, in the modern society, these beautiful palaces are open to tourists, to spread the extensive and profound Chinese culture.

Another typical ancient city is Xi’an, the capital of Shanxi Province. It is located in the northwest of China, and owns the great finds of the world, which named Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It was built in Qin Dynasty by the great Emperor Qinshihuang, which was used for defending and showing his great power to the enemy.

Beautiful Sea View

China faces the East Sea, standing in the east of Asia. As a result, the sea view is worth to have a visit. Qingdao, the capital of Shandong Province, is located in the east of China. It is a beautiful city with blue sky, fresh air, cool breeze, beach, sea food, waves, and wonderful things beyond your imagination.

As I have mentioned, Seafood should not be missed in Qingdao. Qingdao seafood has unique flavors, fresh and light, popular with tourists. The top-end hotels such as Shangri-La Hotel and Qingdao Hotel, and the Yiqinglou Restaurant serve dainty seafood. What’s more, you can have adventurous travel in Qingdao, such as surfing the waves, climbing the mountains. The most famous mountain here is Lao Mountain. Different from many famous mountains in China, it rises from the sea level, and has a coast line of 87 kilometers, structuring a wonder on the sea. The main peak, named Large Peak or Peak Lao, is over 1100 meters high above sea level. Take a walk around, with the sea on one side, and lofty stones and precipitous peaks on the other side, both majestic and elegant. Another wonderful place for sea view is Sanya, in Hainan Province. It is located in the most south of China, and has a tropical climate, which created the unique and beautiful tropical storm. A popular attraction is Yalong Bay, 25 kilometers away from Sanya city in the southeast and the tropical beachscape tourism city. As a National AAAA Class Scenery Park, it is one of the Ten Top Tourist Zones in Hainan and the Five Top Tourist Zones in Sanya. Yalong Bay is so beautiful that those who had visited there made commends like “I don’t want to visit seas else after visiting Sanya.”

From what I have mentioned above, you can see the great charm of china travel, and welcome to join us.

Why are you interested in China Tours? I believe most of you will answer “the different Ancient Asian cultures”. Because China is so different from these western countries, it attracts travelers who are curious about different cultures. However, if you pick the wrong cities in China, for example the Guangzhou Tours, you may end up with disappointments. These big name cities are quite modernized that cultures and architectures are influenced by western countries a lot. So a tour of Ancient Silk Road will satisfy your appetite.

The starting point is Xi’an. Xi’an used to be the most famous and largest city in the world during Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.). Now it is the capital of Gansu province in northwestern China. The airline is Hainan AirlinesHU7808 from Shanghai Pudong airport to Xi’an Xianyang airport. The price was RMB 350 yuan plus RMB 200 yuan for fuel fees. There are many lines of shuttle bus to downtown area. You can take a bus to the city at first, then take a taxi to the hotels. The shuttle bus is RMB 27 yuan per person. For night views, I recommend Gu Lou (鼓楼). You can visit the ancient walls, similar to the Great Wall, with beautiful lights and decorations. The food is also tasty in Xi’an. You should try Muslim street for the lamb dishes and Mutton Soup with Bread (羊肉泡馍). Usually two breads or Nangs are free, if you order one soup. The price is RMB 10 yuan for one set. Also the BBQ is worth to try and cheap. You can be full with RMB 20 yuan and various kinds of BBQ are served.

Important city sightseeing spots: Terracotta Warriors and Horses; Big Wild Goose Pagoda; Ancient City Wall; Shaanxi Historical Museum.

The second station is Dunhuang(敦煌). It used to have the name Shachou-city of sands- during ancient silk road. Mingsha mountain is 15 minutes drive from downtown. Here, three sides are high sand mountains. And the Crescent Lake is embraced by this echoing-sand mountain. The name “Mingsha” came from the sound of whipping sound of dunes by winds. If you are familiar with the Chinese Literature—Journey to the West, you might not want to miss the Thunder Monastery. The most important viewing spot is Mogao Grottoes which is 25 km away from the Dunhuang city. It includes 492 grottoes, 415 painted clay figures and several 45,000 square meters of murals.

Must-see Spots: Mogao Grottoes, Echoing-sand Mountain, Crescent Lake.

The third station is Turfan (吐鲁番). It takes 12 hours from Gansu province to Turfan by train. On the way to the downtown, the largest Wind Power Station in the Asia will be seen. Later on, the flaming mountain which is also mentioned in the Journey to the West, can be seen from the bus as well. It is said that the temperature there can be as high as 80 degrees so that the eggs can be cooked in a minute on the rocks. As Turfan locates in Xi’jiang province, the views and cultures here are different from east part of China. Minorities of ethnic groups, Uyghur, are living here. So the local food are quite different but tasty as well.

Must-try Spots: Bezeklik Thousand Buddh Caves, Grape Valley, Flaming Mountain, Gaochang Ancient City, Mount Nan Pasture, Terai Camp.

The Ancient Silk Road had a long prosperous history from 202 B.C. to 8 A.D. Although it has been replaced by the New Eurasian Continental Bridge, this ancient road still has important uses and attractions. Now this road is attracting more and more visitors to experience ancient feeling by tracking the same road. If you are curious about more information of Xi’an Tours, such as Xi’an Hotels, please check our main website.

China Tours now are becoming a fashionable trend, for most travel fans, or backpackers, one of their destinations on the list is China. However, why China is so charming that attracts millions of tourists? Want an answer? Just follow me and I am sure you will definitely be fans of china travel.

China is famous for its vast territory and abundant resources, various culture, and great cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Guilin, Guanghzou, and so on. By introducing Beijing and Shanghai, I will show you a clear answer of why China is so popular among tourists.

Beijing, the capital of People’s Republic of China, has thousands years history. The ancient is built in Ming Dynasty, the great Emperor made a great contribution to the development of the city, so do the people. Most of attractions in Beijing are constructed at that time, such as the Forbidden City, where the emperor lived in; the Temple of Heaven, which is used for showing thanks for the God; the Summer Palace, a large and beautiful garden built for the emperor, and many others. On the other hand, Beijing is a modern city. Being the cultural and political center of China, it is a modern metropolis. In 2008, the 29th Olympic Game was held in Beijing. Millions of athletes, officials, tourists were coming Beijing, to have an eye on the great event. Now, the well-known gyms, the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube are the key destinations of travel. Theses two gyms symbol the old Chinese sayings, which is described like this: the sky looks round, and the earth seems square. Nowadays, there usually have concerts, which are performed by famous artists.

Shanghai, a city which has been famous since ancient times, benefits from the policy of opening-up. The Bund is the classic image of Shanghai and the city’s main attraction. This section is the most prosperous and luxurious place in Shanghai. Sweeping along the western side of the Huangpu River, the majestic buildings date back to Shanghai’s grandest days. Many banks and financial companies built impressive offices here in the early 20th century when Shanghai was the financial capital of Asia. The city side of The Bund is packed with classic architecture. Buildings to look out for include the old Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, the Customs House and its landmark clock, the Bank of China and the Peace Hotel. On the beach, a tower stands here for many years, which named Oriental Pearl. In the evening, you will have a night view of the whole city, which is blazing colorful lights. In 2010, every barber knows that the World Exposition is held here, which fascinated people all over the world. Here, you can appreciate all kinds of culture from different countries and different races; enjoy and be surprised by the great technology. One more attractions is Nanjing Road. It was the first commercial road in Shanghai. In the early 20th century, there were only four department stores along this stretch. Now it is the top shopping center of the city. It is fantastically located, stemming off the Huangpu River and the Bund at a right angle and linking the city’s main commercial and residential districts to the mouth of the river.

These two cities are almost top highlights of china travel; both of them have their own characteristics, if you want to have a look on the ancient china culture, you can directly come to Beijing; if you want to feel the prosperous and fasting style of life, Shanghai will be your best choice.

Do not worry about the transportation, just book a China Flights and China is waiting for you.

Excellent Asia Travel Agent

Nowadays, Asia has become one of the most hot travel destinations in the world, and China, as the largest Asian country, draws more and more attention from tourists all over the world. And china travel is becoming a fashion trend; however, for most of visitors, it is a country which is full of mysteries and they have no idea how to begin their China Tours, consequently, it is necessary for them to choose a travel agency to do them a favor.

In the following passage, I will share my own experience with you and I hope it can be useful for your choices. And here I take China as our travel destination. China tourism has become more mature than the past few years, as a result, there are thousands of travel agencies and this fact usually makes confusion for the tourists. How to find the truthful travel agent? Firstly, you should go to the official website of the travel agency, and learn more about it as much as possible, or you can go to some Talking Bars to find some gossip about the agent so that you choose a agency which will provide you with high-quality service, and truthful. Or you can go to ask your friends which agencies they chose when they traveled in China, the advices from them definitely reliable. On the contrary, if you do not have this kind of friends, you had better listen to my suggestions. I recommend china Youth Travel Service. It is one of the largest travel agencies in China, and is well-known both domestic and abroad. The official website is www.chinatraveldepot.com.

Generally speaking, travel routes information, travel deals, including hotel deals, tour package deals, air tickets deals, and the like, will be found on the website. For example, you decide to travel to Tibet in the southwest of China; firstly, an air ticket is needed; on the Flights Section you will find the flights information, choose the day you will departure, and the type of your seat, then the prices will be bound up, select it and by now you have reserved the tickets, all other unnecessary procedures are omitted which cost your less energy and cash. Secondly, before your departure, you had better book a hotel, on one hand, there will be a discount for prime reservation; on the other hand, in order to avoid the hotels are full and no empty rooms during the peak tourist season. Secondly, to make your travel schedule more detail and specific, that means you need to arrange your time proper, to assure you have enough time to visit as well as have enough time to relax; therefore, the tour package will be a good choice, for the tour guide will arrange your travel schedule more reasonable, and she or he can assure your safety from any other unexpected happenings.

Now, I will show you some hot attractions in China, which will be references for your trips in China. The first station is Xi’an. As the saying goes, “You pay for whatever you”. More and more China Airlines provide cheap discount flying tickets to one degree or another. Certainly they have their methods to realize it. Once you took the cheap China Flights, you could understand them in some ways.

Well, some professional people name the two main methods as Lower Cost and Additional Revenue.

Ways to increase the additional revenue:

  1. No free meals: Hungry now? Just pick up the menu in front of your sit and let the attendant to take your order. But, what do you find? Yes, these all need extra fee and dishes there could be simple and expensive. General price: $5-10USD
  2. No free audio-video entertainment facilities: In the same way, you should rent relevant equipments with some extra fee when you want to watch movies or listen to music. And you can use your own audio-video equipments such as i-Pod on board. General price: $10-15USD
  3. Narrower mobile space in the airplane: reducing the public mobile area and increasing seats are the common measures budget airlines take so as to increase revenue. Though no more mobile space are available, you may get extra vacant seats after other passengers fixed their seats once you catch up with no- full capacity.
  4. Landing on non- principal cities: Except for some popular routes, many routes are not so hot. So the companies designed their destination in non-principal cities. You may wonder why they choose these non-popular ones since they can not earn more money. Though no more money from us passengers, the companies get not a few extra incomes from local government. Because some local government would not only give favorable airport user charges but also reciprocal measure in order to stimulate local travel industry.

Methods to lower cost:

  1. Less service staff: without meal-service or other basic services, the flights only need to keep essential service staff on board.
  2. No air-bridge service: most people know that it is convenient to go board through the air-bridge. For lower cost, passengers who take their flights must go board through the ground and staircase with their luggage by themselves. Certainly not all of the budget airlines do the same. Otherwise, they will loose the old and some other guests.
  3. Landing on secondary airports: some of the budget airlines choose to the secondary airports in metropolis. For example, Jetstar, one of the famous budget airlines designed their planes to land on secondary one of MELB in Australia. It is not convenient to our passengers. So you’d better get a line on the definitely landing site.
  4. No paper tickets: another wise method to cut down their counter cost which covers labor power cost, facility cost even paper cost. You should book your E-ticket through the Internet, then show your passport and booking number to the counter and go board.
  5. No commissionsale in travel agency: most cheap airlines take this step which means they do not need to pay the commission to travel agencies to cut down cost. As mentioned above, the Internet booking is common direct mode among them.
  6. Decrease ad budgets: given to the cost, the airlines spend little money on ads, which leads them less-known ones. So it is not easy for you to get their information. But if you want to save money very much, surf the Internet harder. Surely you can get a bunch of useful info.

As it comes to the end of the Shanghai EXPO, maybe you can have a try on Shanghai Flights for cheap tickets.
